OVERVIEW
REOTEMP's EcoProbe™ system is perfectly suited for medium to large-scale compost facilities that wish to lower their labor costs and improve their data collection.

REOTEMP has decided to focus on its strength - a manufacturer of high quality temperature probes. So, in order to better serve our wireless customers we've teamed up with a company who has experience in wireless applications for the industrial market. By combining our expertise as probe manufacturers and our partner's expertise in wireless data transmission we've put together a perfect combination.


HOW IT WORKS
These probes work as a team. Each EcoProbe sends information (unformatted data) wirelessly to the base station which collects the data & funnels it into the control system via the PLC or custom PC software.

What does the "unformatted data" consist of? Unformatted data consists of 2 temperature readings (one at the tip and the other 38" above the tip), a time & date stamp, battery status, and a re-programmable I.D. (e.g.. Pile#9,east ).

If your system uses a PLC, your output will consist of the following:
OUTPUT = DeviceNet: 16-bit integer word for each temperature datum. SCALE: 0-32767 integer = 0 to 85 degrees C; Battery status; RF link status.

SOFTWARE
For PLC systems, a 3rd party system integrator would be used to create HMI software. Usually, they fall into one of the following categories.
  1. Many of the large scale facilities & municipalities are capable of creating custom software in-house and would prefer to create their own.
  2. Many design/engineering firms can create custom software in-house and would prefer to do so.
