The REOTEMP CDL is the perfect choice for meeting the time and
temperature criteria for EPA Class A composting or USDA organic NOP standards.
The battery-powered probe automatically records temperatures at intervals of up
to two hours, storing up to 16,000 temperature readings; the LCD always
displays the last stored reading. Data sets can be downloaded via serial cable
from the probe to a laptop in the field, or to a desktop computer in the
office. The data can then be graphed and printed using the Compost Lab™
software for Class A certification.
The rugged stainless steel probe, with its weatherproof head, is built to
withstand the corrosive conditions of composting. The full system includes the
data-logging probe, a PC-link cable and the Compost Lab software. It is ideal
for new or existing commercial compost operations and research programs. The
Data Probe will keep a watchful eye on temperatures in any kind of compost
system.
Set the logger from your computer
Stick the probe into the pile
Pull it out in days, weeks, or months
Download the data onto your computer
Print out the temperature graph
Compost Lab™ Software
The Compost Lab eliminates the work of tabulating and graphing time and
temperature data. It allows you to easily graph, view and print the information
recorded by the Data Probe. The software allows graph smoothing and data-set
trimming to allow you to adjust the range and resolution of any graph. And it
can send commands to the Data Probe to clear memory, start a new run or change
the sampling period or probe-ID label. The software is compatible with PCs
running Microsoft Windows or Windows CE operating systems. The Compost Lab
software is free with every Data Probe purchase.
